The S-MAX is a supercharged version of the Ninebot S and one of the newest additions to the self-balancing scooter lineup. It can be added to the Gokart Conversion Kit (sold separately) to achieve the same speeds and range as the Gokart PRO.

The following specs apply to the S-MAX as a standalone product (not as part of a Gokart):
  • 12.4 MPH Max Speed
  • 23.6 Mile Range
  • Anti-slip, maintenance-free tires
  • Intelligent speed limit
  • 88-187 lb (40-85 kg) Payload
  • Safety assist mode
  • Intelligent battery monitoring
  • Power-on security self-test
  • Artificial intelligence learning
  • Customizable security settings
  • Parking Stand already installed

Please note that the S-MAX comes with flat, solid rubber "Drift" tires without tread (more appropriate for use with the Gokart). If you plan to use the S-MAX on its own as a stand-up scooter, we recommend the Comfort Tires instead. While also solid rubber, the comfort tires have a typical curved shape and tread for enhanced traction. Please select the Comfort Tire upgrade option if you would like these installed prior to shipment.

Less than perfect assembly, poor software.

I really like the new Ninebot S-Max. It's easy to learn to ride and a lot of fun. Overall the range seems acceptable, I can ride for about 2 hours at 14-18 km/hr and still have 2 bars of battery left when I get back to my departure point. Will it really go 23 miles as advertised? Not sure since I would have to Uber back to find out for sure, but it does have enough range to be enjoyable and fun to ride without too much range anxiety. I would estimate my rides to easily be 14+ miles round trip. i have about 60 miles on it with no significant problems. I ride a little aggressively, and have not been down yet. Not even close to falling down - it's easy to ride. I am 62 years old, but I have ridden motorcycles all my life.

One tire was poorly installed when I removed it from the box. It was an easy fix, remove the hub cap and straighten the tire, reinstall the hub cap. The assembly out of the box was very easy and straight forward.

Not so great: The tire assembly sloppiness mentioned earlier. The software download on your phone for the training and to unlock full speed on the machine is borderline crap. I have an android phone and the location must be turned on - on the phone to pair the blue-tooth. That point is no obvious in the instructions, it took a while on-line figure that out. There was not an error message that said check "location on". There was also confusion about what the blue-tooth password might or might not be. I have not checked all of the…

    So far so good. :-)

The S-Max showed up as planned and I was excited to unpack it and learn to ride it. Was simple you unpack and assemble. I connected it to the Segway app and started with the tutorial. Its great that the tutorial forces you to follow along before completely unlocking the S-Max. Took a day for my brain to adapt to standing on it but once I got past that point its been a blast to ride. I'm a kid at heart even though I'm on the upper specter of recommended age. We also just took delivery of a P100S for the wife and my GT2. My wife and I look forward to spending more time on them every chance we get. This makes a total of 5 Segways to date. We are Segway fans. They're well built quality products.

    Even for old people!

I purchased this particular model because of the ease to ride and where I ride. We at in our mid to late 60’s and play disc golf just outside our little town and make our own targets from old tires and such. I have trouble with a “bad hip” and riding this on our homemade course is essential making it back to square one.

It takes all the bumps and dips just fine, but slowly and cautiously.

We thought we were going to have to quit playing, which also gives our 3 dogs daily exercise, but I saw this Segway Ninebot S advertised and decided to give it a try. It’s a perfect match, easy to ride and maneuver and my husband said I was getting to be a pro! I’m glad I bought it because it was worth getting back what we thought we had lost.

Great quality, well made, assembly was fast and easy and I’d highly recommend this for anybody that has trouble walking long distances. Battery life is phenomenal and my only con is plugging the plug-in into the unit. You have to get down on your hands and knees to be able to line it up to fit. Pain in the you know what.

    Overall, that’s my only complaint.

The shipping was free from L.A. Segway and the price was even better. They gave me an outstanding deal I couldn’t resist. The customer service was stellar, perfect transaction in every way❣️💯

    Fun & functional

My nonebot is ideal for zipping around our community. It took me longer to go through the tutorials than it did to get comfortable riding. I'm surprised just how fun it is to zoom around. I get a lot of comments from passersby also
